Betty's Angels
Betty’s Angels is a group of family (7 sisters and 4 brothers) and friends (actually, more like our extended family) who decided to put their energy and resources into helping out a worthy cause.
A few years back, under the name of “Celebrate” we had our first fundraiser dance which helped raise money for the Viet Nam Memorial in our hometown of Manchester, Connecticut. We have also donated to the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp in Ashford.
In the spring of 2007 the matriarch of our little group, Betty Sadloski, passed away and we decided to change our name to Betty’s Angels in her memory.
This group of family and friends, with a common bond, want to help where it is needed.
This year we are working very hard to provide the Moulton Family of Manchester with financial assistance. "Little Ned" Mouton has some serious medical issues and currently sees a multitude of doctors and therapists (please see our story below).
Members of Betty's Angels have been out in the community collecting raffle prizes, donations and selling tickets to our event:

Our Story about "Little Ned"
A picture says a thousand words, to look at this photo of “Little Ned” Moulton the words that immediately might come to mind are happy fun loving little boy. You would never know from this picture that Little Ned has over 100 epileptic seizures a day.
He is also developmentally delayed and needs assistance to walk. Ned does not talk and is currently learning to feed himself finger foods. Ned will be 3 years old on May 5th
Five times a week Ned receives Birth to 3 Services, which includes physical therapy, speech therapy, special education and occupational therapy. His Birth to 3 Services began when he was 6 months old. When Ned was 1 the doctors began a multitude of tests, with no results and no answers. Numerous medications have been prescribed, but so far none have made a difference. Ned does, however, take a growth hormone because his pituitary gland is in two pieces and does not function. The growth hormone has been successful and Ned has made height gains. He does aqua therapy once a week to help his body get stronger while learning to walk.
Ned wears a helmet to protect his head and has support braces to help gain stability. Additional equipment eventually will be needed.
Every night the epileptic seizures repeatedly wake Ned. He, and his parents, get little or no sleep.
Also, Ned’s brain has a malfunction referred to as a double cortex. However, because the doctors haven’t found any reason why he has this Ned’s condition can not be diagnosed. His medical records have traveled from Hartford to New Haven to Boston and California. Along the way, numerous doctors have been consulted.
Surgery is not a option.
Besides Ned’s therapists, he has a long list of doctors; neurologist, endrocine, developmental pediatrician, epileptologist, genetics, urologist, nutritionist and orthopedics. Each have been amazing and Ned’s family is very thankful for each one!
On April 9th we learned that one of Ned's many complications now includes a hearing loss. There is a long road ahead . . . and Betty’s Angels want to help make the road a little easier for Ned, and his family. May 2007: Celebrating a life!
