Selena Marie Gomez was born July 22nd 1992 in Texas and moved to New York City when she grew up.  Selena got her professional acting start on Barney and friends(as Gianna) when she was seven.  Her best friend is Demi Lavato,they became best friends while acting on Barney and Friends.  In may 2010 Selena Gomez recieved her high school diploma during home schooling.
